I might be in a small town, but all my patients and prospects want to know, have access to, or just be associated with someone who has treated a ‘celebrity’. The campaigns with our local celebrities gave a return of 12 to 1. I got a national celebrity to appear at an event for free. Celebrity promotions and endorsements have worked very well for my commercial lending firm, Mercantile Commercial Capital (MCC). As with testimonials, having someone else — a third party — talk about us and what a great job we do makes a marketing campaign/piece seem much less “salesy.” But unlike testimonials, celebrities put a familiar (or at least entertaining) face on a marketing message.(Posted on 5/17/12)
